Dr. Avallone received a B.A in Biology from LaSalle University in 1978, a M.S. in Environmental Science from Drexel University in 1980 and Doctor of Osteopathy from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1984. He is currently a Orthopedic Surgeon with Avallone Orthopedics (since 1995), a Resident Trainer in Orthopedic Surgery at Community Hospital of Lancaster (since 1990), Associate Professor in Orthopedics at Osteopathic Medical Center of Philadelphia (since 1996) and Team Physician for Millersville University

Scholarship Recipient

Tonya Doyle, whom was a senior this past school year and acting as a student athletic trainer aide since her junior year, was the recipient of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Jack Cramer Scholarship. She was presented with a plaque and $2,000 scholarship in June at the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers’ Society Annual Symposium. I’m ecstatic to say that this scholarship is only given to one individual in the nation and Tonya was chosen as this years recipient…quite a feat! I wanted to share the link that Cramer Sports Medicine wrote on Tonya this month.
